Service Description

This session will focus on my top tips to support reading for all and will include essential strategies and techniques for effectively teaching reading to neurodiverse learners with complex needs. The course aims to equip professionals and home educators with practical knowledge and skills to support these learners in developing their reading abilities. By the end of this course, participants will be able to: Understand the challenges faced by neurodiverse learners/those with complex needs in reading. Identify strategies to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Implement differentiated instruction to meet the individual needs of each learner. Use and understand how multi-sensory approaches can enhance reading instruction. Understand ways to use visual supports and assistive technology to facilitate reading comprehension. Develop individualised reading goals and progress monitoring strategies. Foster a positive mindset and motivation for reading in neurodiverse learners. Adapt reading materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and preferences. Promote social interaction and peer collaboration during reading activities.
